Koi Club Memberships

Koi Pond
15000 gallon 71/2 feet deep Pond with two four inch air dome bottom
Drains. Sprayed in polyurea liner, waterfall, three 150 gallon each chamber filters, one with bio balls, one with bio strata and one with pea gravel. In addition to that, one aqua bead filter, one Nexus filter and two trickle towers filters. He also has one 70 watt UV light and one protein skimmer.

Introduction to Koi
Charles’ first real introduction to Koi was in the mid eighties while vacationing in Maui, Hawaii. He became fascinated with them and vowed to build a Pond and obtain some of them when he returned home. This is what he did. Now 26 years later they still fascinate him.

Related Activities
Speaker at Koi Club meeting and seminars across the country, have taught class at local High School on pond building and keeping Koi and Goldfish. Has traveled to Japan to purchase high quality Koi for the purpose of showing Koi and has won several Grand Champion Awards plus many others. He currently has about three hundred trophy in his trophy room. He attends about eight to ten Koi shows a year, either showing Koi, Judging, or just helping out. He owns about every book and video on Koi that exist today. Has served as Club president twice, show chairman 6 times and club treasurer for 15 years. He has written many articles for newsletters and magazines.

Koi Judging Experience
He has judged approximately 80 Koi shows in the US and internationally. He has attended seminars and Koi events for the last 20 years and read all the books and viewed all the Koi videos he can find.

Koi Judge Credentials
He was certified as a Koi Judge in 1997 and was in training for three years prior to that.
